General context

The CT-FAST deterministic module is comprised of a simple computation routine in a deterministic context (i.e. using average values instead of variable parameters) and focuses on forecasting clinical trial medication usage.

The CT-FAST deterministic module allows clinical supply organizations to estimate, early on, the important characteristics of a trial supply strategy even when little information is known. The main output is the average demand over time for all different types of medication kits and label groups.

When we say CT-FAST is fast, we truly mean it. The computations in the CT-FAST deterministic module are performed in less than one second, which allows, for instance, easily testing numerous trial designs and what-if analyses.

The CT-FAST deterministic module can represent the first stage of the implementation of forecasting technology within a clinical supply organization, especially when relevant experience is limited. As the concepts associated with the deterministic calculation are basic, and the number of parameters taken into account is limited.

Output:

Average demand over time
